Dunstan Baby Language Trainer Module

In addition to the Foundation Course, participants can also take the additional Dunstan Baby Language Trainer module. This gives participants the licence to offer Dunstan Baby Language as an independent course for parents. This can be done one-to-one or in groups. This course is intended for instructors of baby and parent-to-be courses, as well as other professionals who want to expand their work to include teaching a Dunstan Baby Language course for parents. Trainers receive additional course and promotional materials and enjoy many benefits.

  • The Training

    This module consists of an additional 4-hour session (or two 2-hour lessons). The lesson covers how to run a Dunstan Baby Language course for parents, practical aspects of running courses such as pricing and course options, and recruiting participants.

  • Target audience and admission

    To take the Dunstan Baby Language Trainer Module, you must hold a valid certificate for the Dunstan Baby Language Basic Course for Professionals.

  • Location

    This course is delivered online via Zoom, so you can choose where you would like to join from.

  • Study commitment

    The total study time for this module is approximately 8 hours: 4 hours of lessons and 4 hours of independent study.

  • What you'll need

    The training is delivered online (via Zoom). Ideally, you should take the training on a laptop or PC, but you can also join from a tablet or phone.


    Make sure you have a quiet environment and a good internet connection.


    Please bring a pen and paper in case you’d like to take notes.

  • Certification

    Upon completing the Trainer Module, participants receive the Dunstan Baby Language Trainer Certificate and a license to offer Dunstan Baby Language courses to parents. These can be offered as standalone courses or as part of, for example, an antenatal course.


    The certificate is valid for 3 years. After that, it can be renewed by taking a refresher course. 


    The license to teach courses is issued for one year. It is free for the first year after completing the Trainer Module. After that, you pay €135 per year. This license is required to maintain your authorization to teach courses.

    • Opportunity to take part in events and platforms, such as Geboorte Event and Zwangerenportaal.
    • Promotion on the official Babytaal website and social media channels.
    • A special quality mark to display on your website and in other communications.
    • Free access to online trainer meetings and masterclasses.
    • Discount on the refresher course to renew your certificate. 

    This training does not qualify you to teach Dunstan Baby Language to other professionals. This is reserved for Dunstan Baby Language Netherlands.

  • Fees

    The fee for the regular training dates is €295,- per person.

    Dunstan Babytaal Nederland is registered with the Central Register for Short Vocational Education. This means the course and its learning materials can be offered VAT-free.
